Rest in Peace old boss

Dr. John Zaia was my first boss for my first job out of college at City of Hope - I worked in his HIV Ribozyme Gene Therapy laboratory, the mRNA technology was later used to create the COVID-19 Vaccine. Although the HIV research world was a former life a far removed, I still remember John as a great mentor and a pillar in the medical science community. RIP.
